ACCOUNTANT ADMIN:
Under the supervision of the Treasurer, the Accountant Admin is responsible for financial management and transaction processing for Nolose.
Job Duties (5 hours/month):
All general organizational accounting via Quickbooks online
Produces a monthly financial report to the board after approval from Treasurer
Processes all donations, monetary or in-kind, while earmarking funds for financial aid as needed; issues paper or email tax deductible receipt to donors
Keeps track of financial aid funds vs regular donative funds and revenue by working closely with fundraisers
Reconciles books quarterly
Files yearly 990 with IRS
Coordinates problem-solving on any tax issues
Holds checks and all financial account information to serve as back up to the Treasurer
Works with Board Chair to make sure DAO insurance is intact/event insurance is prepared for each event
Works with the monthly volunteer who checks the mail to receive updates and donation info. Also works with the Treasurer or mail volunteer to make sure the P.O.Box box is renewed every 6 months.
Qualifications:
At least 2 years bookkeeping and/or accounting experience
Familiarity with nonprofit accounting, including tax exemptions
CPA license preferable but not required
Experience with bookkeeping for events (conferences, concerts, etc) is ideal
Compensation:
$25-$30 per hour; based on experience level and location
Hours may increase to 10 hours per month for 3 months during conference season (biannually)
Contract paid and renewed quarterly, as an independent contractor.
