[Nolose-announce] Feb. is Nolose month!

Hi Nolose folks!

We're declaring February 2008 to be a month of regional NOLOSE events across
the globe! It's time to start gathering forces with other fat-minded folks
and brainstorming fat queer women/trans events for your town. What would you
like to see? What would you like to help create?

Some possibilities might be a dance, a pool party, a clothing swap, a stitch
'n' bitch, a day of crafting, a party, a play party, a performance, an
action... you tell us what it will be. Let your imaginations dream up
something fun!


Given a strong proposal, NOLOSE will provide some seed money toward your
events! Send us your event proposal, and include the following info:

1. Programming: a dance? a concert? what is it?

2. How does the proposed event reflect the mission of
NOLOSE<http://nolose.org/about/who.php>
?

3. What do the event organizers hope to achieve with this event?

4. Point person and contact info

5. Who else is helping organize?

6. Location (city) and prospective venue

7. How much do you need for up-front costs, and what will that money pay
for?

8. We'd like for the events to pay for themselves, or even turn a profit!
How will your event recoup
expenses?

Efforts are already underway to plan a New York City area gathering in
February.  To learn more and/or to join the organizing efforts, visit
