[Nolose-announce] Sad and exciting news

Dear NOLOSE community,

Due to  coordination issues and having some of our dedicated workers down
for  the count this past spring, the NOLOSE Board has decided to postpone
our  international conference/retreat until summer/fall of 2008.

The good news is,  we'd like to focus on planning a fabulous day of
coordinated regional  events for this coming February! This is an exciting
opportunity for us to help  build community where we live, use some of our
common resources and learn  from each other's plans. Locations, dates and
other specifics TBA. If you'd like  to be a part of creating a regional
one-day NOLOSE event in your area, please  email max at nolose.org and let
us  know! We'd like to help make an event geared toward the fat queer women
&  trans folks (and our allies) in your area happen. Clothing swap?
Dance?  Workshops? Speakers? Indoor swim? Film fest? Food for  thought.

We know that the  international conference is vitally important for the
NOLOSE community. Having  made this difficult decision, we ask for your
patience and support. It is our  biggest wish that taking this season to
focus on local community planning will  help build a stronger community.
