Hey!  People, NOLOSE in NoHo is almost here.  You should come.  It will be
fun.  Here are some updates.

1.  Financial Aid.  We are almost ready to make some offers.  We just need
to make a final decision here and there about the scholarships.  I am sorry
for the delay, but you will here soon, promise.  Also, if you know any folks
who would qualify for the 50+ scholarship, tell them to get on it!  We are
sad to say we haven't had any applicants in that category.

2.  From Robin, notorious conference volutneer wrangler:  It's that time
again, NOLOSErs! The conference is now just around the corner and while
you're registering and getting ready, we are busily planning an awesome
weekend!

Of course, we all know that the conference only happens through the work of
many, many volunteers and that means YOU!
Now's the time to say you'll help out at the conference to make it the most
amazing one we've ever had!

The link below takes you to a very short and simple web form where you can
sign up for the job you'd most like to do. Once you do that, I will be in
touch with you to firm up the details.

Announcing NOLOSE personal ads for $5 only!
They aren't just a way to find your true love, but to tell the world who
your true love is!
By a 2-3 line ad in the NOLOSE conference program for $5 and tell the world
(well, the greater NOLOSE community anyway) what's on your mind.
You can do a traditional personal ad like:
Queer Bi-Femme Princess looking for her Knight in Shining Armor. One night
only. Find me at the pool on Saturday at 4 PM.
*OR*
Hot butch looking for some butch on butch action. Let's play rough! I'll be
at the hotel bar Friday at 7 PM. Meet me there.
*Too risque for you? You could just give a stout out to your peeps, like:*
Jack McSpanky wants to holla at all you fatty mcfatfats of Livejournal! You
rock!
*Or, if you aren't able to make it this year, but you want to send your vibe
along:*
Hey FATTIES! Think about me when you chunky dunk! Love, Fattie that ain't
there!
Now, we reserve the right to refuse or edit any ad. We won't do that without
letting you know first though.
So for a mere $5, you could spread your message and spread some love. Send
ad copy to max at nolose dot org by August 5, and we'll talk about payment
options. Cool?

4.  Do you want to get your vend on at NOLOSE?  You totally could.  There
won't be a vendor's fee, but we will ask for a $50 donation (item(s) or gift
certificates) to our silent auction.  Contact cristy at nolose dot org.

5. Speaking of the silent auction, you want to give us something to auction
off?  This is always fun, and also makes some pretty good coin for NOLOSE.

6. If you need a roommate or want to find some alternative housing, or you
live in the Northampton area and you can offer some alternative housing,
give us a shout.  You will be on your own to coordinate it, but we can put
people in touch with one another.

7.  We will likely have an attendee this year that has a service animal.  If
you have allergy concerns, please let us know aso we can make
accommodations.  We will do everything we can to help you.  And while the
hotel is a pet friendly one, we would kinda like to ask that you leave your
pets at home.  People have allergies.

8.  We will again be hosting a clothing swap in out hospitality suite.  You
are welcome to bring ONE bag of clothes to swap.  But take as much as you
can carry, for real.

9.  tell your friends to register.  please and thank you.

all right, my peeps, enjoy the rest of summer if you are in the northern
hemisphere and the rest of winter if you are in the southern hemispere.  Do
you have any idea how much you rock?  :)
