finance/fundraising mtg 12/9

NY/NJ incorporation papers
fundraising front $
3 viable mtg times to offer mich
set our mtg schedule

fundraising front money--
cookbook (robin) ppl approached cristy for a couple hundred bucks for 
upfront  printing costs-- they are planning a run of 200 books.
cristy will fwd us all the email w robin's proposal, and we will all 
"vote" via email.
(fundraising budget overall is $3000.)

paperwork--
brooklyn = kings county.  NY paperwork was sent in, sent back, going in 
again.
NJ ST5 form for tax exemption-- need municipality and county for forms.
dianne has all paperwork for NJ, fwd'ed it to cristy.

financial controls--
- check signing: one person prepares the check (expenses: get invoices, 
etc), another signs it
- rules for use of NOLOSE debit card (which cristy has): similar to 
check signing, one person requests, another one grants
- confidentiality agreements re finances:  cristy is drafting one for 
all of us to sign, as well as mich and perhaps judy.
- internal vs external budget
- guidebook for board members
- process document about financial controls/draft of confidentiality 
agreement-- amanda will look into how other orgs do it, and start 
creating this.
