Below is a copy of the email I sent and the attachments. In terms of
direction, here is what I would do. First, you need to get 2006 conference
prices from Devra. Second, you need to update the letter that we sent out
last year, and send it to Devra to be sure that the deadlines and ad
formats are correct. Third, you should send the email to the list of
people who advertised with us before to see if they want to advertise or
donate silent auction items in lieu of payment. Finally, you need to get
the ad information to Devra.

Cristy and I are happy to coordinate the silent auction. If you have
someone who donates they should send the items to us at 2187 Hemlock
Drive, Ann Arbor, MI, 48108. Please send me an email when folks opt to do
this so I know what to expect at the auction.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Thanks
Danielle

Hi Mich,

I am not sure if anyone responded to you about soliciting items for the
silent auction and selling ads yet, but last year Cristy and I did a lot
of the gathering for the auction and made requests for ads from
businesses.

I will do my best to send you what I have. I do not have a list of all of
the businesses that we solicited, but I do have a list of the businesses
who participated. We just brainstormed a list, and went to their website
and sent a letter. We also used a publication that is circulated in
Michigan called Lesbian Connection and contacted people who advertised in
their publication. For the most part many of the businesses made
donations to the silent auction in exchange for an ad in the program.
Attached are the documents that I used to keep track of things last year.
The document has a list of all of the items that were a part of the silent
auction included is the ad information as well. Please let me know if you
have questions.

I am also wondering if Cristy and I should plan to run the silent auction
or if you were planning to do this as well? We were thinking that we were
doing it, but maybe we don't need to worry about it? I think that I have
an old email that has the "letter" we sent to people.

>From some other email that I have seen going around, it looks like we are
going to be raising prices this year so you should wait for an official
2006 price list. Also, you will need to find out if Devra is doing the
program again this year. She will be able to give you a deadline for when
she will need ads by. After my experience of last year. I would
advertise 1-2 weeks earlier than Devra's deadline. I was surprised how
difficult it was to get ads out of folks.

Thanks!
Danielle
