[Nolose 2007 Venue] row the boat ashore

I think it is a weird 'fit' for nolose, very-scenic-and-relaxing-however-not-at-all-punk-or-private, but at the same time I dont know how desperate folks are feeling. I am feeling like the options are extremely limited for something in the bayarea, and I think that a bunch of short cruises may actually leave from the port of SF. I also think the pricing would be about what last years was - probably around $100-$150/night/person including everything except travel to get there, but including more amenities.

I went on a cruise with my father when he was very ill and immobile. Accesibility-wise, it was great. Lots of people with scooters (rented, I think) were there and it is flat and easy to scoot everywhere. Chairs were variable. There were several pools, all with stairs and sturdy railings. And generally tons of space. I think there are a lot of problems with the working conditions, though perhaps not as bad as I have seen reported considering the conversations I had with some of the 'lower level' workers. The environmental stuff is generally bad, but it may vary by cruise line - some lines treat their waste while other do not.

So, what I am saying is perhaps we should tell the agent who approached NOLOSE that we are an environmentally and socially progressive group and we only be interested if the ship had reasonable environmental and labor policies. While I think it is a long shot and there are lots of problems with it, I dont personally feel like there is a good leading choice of venue right now, so I would not turn something down without having more info. Especially when we do not have to do any of the work to get the info about the venue.

Most cruise ships are a total environmental and labor nightmare, since they're not usually governed by US laws if they're affordable.

Do you have any more info? Seems like we would have to be sharing with
other people on the boat, and I really wonder about accessibility. Do
you know more, or know where the boats sail out of, or if they do such
short cruises?
